Currently there are two ways of installing Timesheet Next Gen. Firstly the old method of using the install.sh shell script. Secondly the web install which is currently experimental and only available within the SVN as at time of writing.
To install Timesheet Next Gen via the shell script, you must fist download a copy and extract it to a directory that is not the directory that you want your version to be installed in.
Next, give suitable permissions to the file install.sh so you can execute it.
Finally, run the install.sh script in your terminal
The Shell Script is left over from the days of Timesheet.php. Timesheet Next Gen will not be supporting it in subsequent releases and will be phasing this out.
This is the easiest way to install. Simply download and extract a copy of Timesheet Next Gen to the directory you do want it to be installed. Navigate your browser to the relevant directory on your server and then follow the instructions.
The Web Installer is currently experimental. It will be making it into the next release of Timesheet Next Gen, but as at time of writing, it is only avaialable within the SVN under the /branches/exp_installer. However, it is fully up-to-date with the latest code from the trunk.
